- After landing, follow the signs to the baggage claim area at the airport. The monitors there will show you which baggage carousel your luggage will be delivered to

Do the check-in in advance
- Many airlines offer online check-in. This allows you to create your boarding passes yourself and save them on your smartphone. There are baggage machines at the airport, where you can then simply drop off your bags. Your airline will tell you whether check-in is possible in advance of your flight
- In Terminal 2, you can use the flexible common-use check-in for most airlines: the baggage drop machines are available the evening before and all day on the day of departure. This means you don't have to wait at a staffed counter

- Be sure to allow enough time for your trip to the airport, baggage check-in, and security screening
- During Oktoberfest, passenger volumes can be very high, which may result in a more time-consuming check-in process or longer wait times at security and passport control
- Both on the roads around the airport and on the S-Bahn, construction work may cause traffic jams and delays
