Industrial action on Monday, 10 December

Industrial action has been announced at Deutsche Bahn for Monday, 10 December, from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. throughout Germany. According to Deutsche Bahn, it can be assumed that there will also be effects on the entire regional and suburban rail traffic in Munich - even after the end of the action.

Currently there are no S-Bahn trains to the airport. Massive restrictions also on the main line between Pasing and Ostbahnhof. A temporary taxi shuttle was set up between Feldmoching and the airport and between Ostbahnhof and the airport.

Please check the S-Bahn Munich website for the current status before you start your journey.

Travel to the airport by train or bus

The S1 and S8 S-Bahn lines connect the airport with the center of Munich, with departures every 10 minutes. The airport is also easy and convenient to reach by bus from the Munich city center as well as from Ingolstadt and Landshut.

Connections with Flixbus and Lufthansa Express bus

The bus stop is just a few steps away from Terminal 2. It takes about five to ten minutes to get to Terminal 1. Follow the signs here.

The stop of the Lufthansa Express bus is in front of the Munich Airport Center (MAC). This central area of the airport is just a few steps from Terminal 1 and 2.

At the bus stations themselves you should pay attention to the stop signs and timetable signs.
