Almost all stores and restaurants at Munich Airport are open for business. Passengers and guests, as well as employees, are subject to the requirements of the 15th Bavarian Infection Protection Ordinance and in particular the requirements of the competent authority of the Erding District Office (only German).
Currently, an increased Corona warning level applies:
Due to an increased Corona warning level, FFP2 masks (or masks with at least an equivalent standard) are currently compulsory at Munich Airport in buildings and enclosed spaces, as well as on public transportation such as buses and trains. Children up to the age of 6 are exempt from the mask requirement; children up to the age of 15 must wear a medical mask. Individuals who are unable or unreasonable to wear a medical mask due to a disability or for health reasons (proof required) are exempt from the wearing requirement.
- Stores: Starting Wednesday, December 8, 2021, the "2G" rule (access only for vaccinated and recovered persons) applies in retail stores. Stores for daily needs such as grocery stores, pharmacies or gas stations are exempt. In addition, the FFP2 mask requirement applies.
- Gastronomy: in restaurants, the "2G" regulation applies indoors, as well as the FFP2 mask requirement except at the seat.
Please inform yourself at the responsible authority (District of Erding) about the exact regulations and exceptions.
Please note that there may be changes to access regulations, as well as opening hours and closures at short notice.
