Press: Jost Lammers has taken over as Chair of the ACI World Governing Board

Munich Airport Chief at the helm of the World Airport Association

Since the beginning of 2026, Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich Airport has been at the helm of Airports Council International (ACI) World, the global airport association. Lammers was elected Chair of the ACI World Governing Board by the general meeting. The Munich Airport CEO will hold this position for two years.

ACI World, based in Montreal, Canada, represents the interests of nearly 2,200 airports in around 170 countries worldwide and is considered an important voice for the industry in politics, business, and international organizations. ACI is also represented by regional organizations on five continents.

As Chair of ACI World, Jost Lammers will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction and global issues of the airport industry in the future.

“The challenges facing the aviation industry are global – and they can only be solved by working together. "I look forward to strengthening international cooperation for a safe, innovative, and sustainable airport world, as well as advancing digitalization and the passenger experience," said Lammers upon taking office.
