Food concepts at Munich Airport receive several prizes

At this year's "FAB Awards – Airport Food & Beverage + Hospitality Conference & Awards", which took place on 25 and 26 June in Barcelona, three concepts from Allresto, the gastronomy subsidiary of Munich Airport, were recognized with three awards. The winners were Airbräu, Café Aïda and the Food Hall in the Terminal 2 satellite terminal. The FAB Awards is a renowned trade conference and considered as the world's most important platform for airport gastronomy, retail and hospitality.

In the category “Airport Food & Beverage Marketing Campaign of the Year – Europe,” the communication campaign surrounding the 25th anniversary of Airbräu was honored with the rating “Highly Commended”. The satellite terminal's catering area won the award for “Airport Food Hall of the Year – Airport ≥20M passengers”, while Café Aïda emerged as the overall winner in the “Airport Food to Go Offer of the Year” category.

"This is a remarkable achievement for our passion, our quality, and our commitment to improving airport catering every day. We are proud to have impressed in three categories alongside top international brands," said Dr Jan-Henrik Andersson, Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Security Officer at Munich Airport. He accepted the awards in Barcelona together with Andreas Reichert, Allresto's Managing Director.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Munich Airport, Allresto operates around 80 per cent of the catering outlets at Munich Airport, including its own concepts such as Airbräu, as well as franchise formats and individually developed catering solutions.

In Barcelona, Dr. Jan-Henrik Andersson accepted the awards together with Andreas Reichert.
