Munich Airport welcomed a new carrier to Bavaria’s international hub with Air Arabia’s inaugural flight on December 15, 2025. The Pan-Arabian airline is now offering daily service between Munich Airport and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The route is operated with state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo aircraft. Departures from Terminal 1 are scheduled for 12:15 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and for 9:40 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Sharjah is located just 30 minutes from Dubai and is regarded as the cultural center of the UAE. Munich is Air Arabia’s first scheduled destination in Germany to be served from Sharjah. Alongside the new nonstop connection, travelers benefit from an extensive range of onward flights to destinations across the Middle East and Asia.

The inaugural flight was marked at Munich Airport with a ceremonial cake-cutting, while passengers at the gate in Terminal 1 were greeted with traditional gingerbread hearts.
