Event “Meteorit” comes in for landing at Munich Airport

First fully electric Audi e-tron on display at Munich Airport

23.01.2019
Audi has yet to start shipping the first units to customers in Germany. But the new, fully electric Audi e-tron car has already landed at Munich Airport – in a multi-storey meteorite. From now until mid-March, passengers and visitors to the airport can experience the new vehicle and its innovative technology in a 630 square meter display space in the Munich Airport Center (MAC) between Terminal 1 and 2.

Once again, Munich Airport is demonstrating its credentials as a unique venue, with yet another high-profile event now being staged in the busy MAC Forum space. The AUDI meteorite is an eye-catching display concept for presenting the advanced e-tron vehicle to the public. Car lovers can take the e-tron out for short test drives, try out Audi e-scooters and look at exhibits covering every aspect of e-mobility. AUDI AG is also using the installation in the MAC as part of its training activities for its global sales force. More than 9,500 sales staff from all over the world are coming to the MAC Forum to learn about the Audi e-tron technology and product ecosystem.

The meteorite offers fun for the whole family: On a self-guided expedition, even the youngest visitors can follow the cartoon robot ADUI to explore the world of electricity. Until March, the display will include facilities in the myAudiSphere where visitors can familiarize themselves with the e-tron technology through interactive games and activities. After solving all of the puzzles, a prize awaits them: a test drive.
