Second FC Bayern fan shop opened 

With the opening of “O2 SURFTOWN MUC” near Munich Airport in the summer of 2024, Allresto, the catering subsidiary of Flughafen München GmbH (FMG), will be operating a restaurant in a partnership outside the airport campus for the first time. Inspired by the idea that the restaurant is not just a place to eat but also an “observation post” with a view of the lively surfing activity in the surf park’s wave pool, the name “Lookout” was chosen. 

On Friday, November 17, 2023, the beloved Christmas and Winter Market will open its doors at the Munich Airport Center (MAC) Forum, Europe’s largest covered outdoor space. Passengers and visitors are invited to come and enjoy the festively decorated market and get into the Christmas spirit every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. until December 31 (New Year’s Eve). The market will close at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

During the summer vacation, climbing enthusiasts will have the opportunity to test their personal limits at dizzying heights in the Munich Airport Center (MAC). Experienced climbers and newbies alike will get to try out new challenges between August 7 and August 30, 2023, when the MAC Forum will play host to a high-rope course specially designed for the airport. 

The Munich Airport management officially opens this year's Christmas and Winter Market with a ribbon cutting ceremony. After a two-year break, Munich Airport is once again hosting its popular Christmas and winter market this year - traditionally in the München Airport Center (MAC) Forum, Europe's largest roofed open-air space.

Europe's first airport brewery Airbräu is known and popular beyond all borders. Following years of tradition, the Oktoberfest – also called Wiesn’ - is celebrated here as well in a proper way. In a cozy atmosphere, hearty delicacies are once again served and various musical acts provide the right "Oktoberfest atmosphere", just like on the original festival grounds.

Passengers are not the only ones returning to the large open-air forum of Munich Airport Center; popular events are also making a comeback after two years of absence due to corona.

A campaign initiated by the Kitzbühel tourist board and Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel, the ski lift operator, is showcasing the world-renowned winter sports resort at Munich Airport – the gateway to the Alps – in a large-scale 360° presentation.
