For Munich Airport, a responsible approach to the environment plays a keyrole in its corporate strategy.
It strives to become a pioneer in this domain and has already rolled out a number of projects that go far beyond statutory requirements and industry standards.
The goal is to develop the airport into a green mobility hub and achieve net-zero emissions by 2035 at the latest. To this end, emissions will be reduced by at least 90% through measures in a wide range of areas, and the remaining 10% at most will be actively and permanently removed from the atmosphere.
