Introduction to Airport Operations

This intensive on-the-job-training provides essential understanding of airport operational complexities, discussing role of systems, stakeholders and their mutual interfaces. Onsite visits and exposure to life-operations at MUC will reinforce the theoretical knowledge. 


Upon completion of the training the participants will be able to:

  • Understand main functionalities, processes and roles involved in airport operations
  • Coordinate effective implementation of core processes and procedures between operational stakeholders
  • Define requirements for efficient terminal and landside as well as safety operations
  • Apply new approaches to operational efficiencies based on examples and practices proven by MUC
  • Maintain safety and security of operations

Target group

The course is dedicated to industry Airport Operations and Safety staff, industry new joiners and as a refresher to experienced employees, who require systematic and structured overview of airport operational components, combined with first-hand insights from Munich Airport best practices. 



Assessment and Certification

Formative assessment during the course.

Training certificate will be awarded upon completion of the training and successfully passed practical assessment.
