Apron driver's license Recurrent (WBT)

Important change!

As of 1 January 2021 all previously acquired driving licenses will have a term of two years. By completing the “apron driving license recurrent” course, this term can be extended by two years from the completion date.

The limited term is based on Regulations (EC) No 1108/2009 and No 139/2014 (additionally in Annex IV, Subpart B, ADR.OPS.B.024).

On successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate as evidence of completion. You will receive the valid apron driving license (thus extended) by post. This happens automatically and requires no action on your part.

the special security regulations for Munich Airport
the specific circumstances at the aprons
how the traffic regulations for aprons are applied
the aircraft parking stands
how to act properly in the safety zone of an aircraft

Target group

Anyone needing to drive in Munich Airport’s security restricted areas

Requirements

an official driver’s license of at least class B (3)
a Munich Airport security pass (not a visitor’s ID card!)
holders of a driver´s license that has not been issued in a country belonging to the EU/EEA, also need an international driver´s license or an officially certified translation of their license.
