The new terminal also has a special lounge for unaccompanied minors – i.e. young people traveling alone – with all the comforts of home, including a foosball table, two networked PCs, a play corner and numerous big cushions for stretching out. For questions or assistance, 24 Lufthansa service desks are at the ready with information or help with connecting flights. Special machines will enable transit passengers to print out their own boarding cards with no waiting time. All services are situated at the center of the new building for quick and convenient access by customers. From here the Lufthansa lounges are just steps away.
When the satellite terminal opens in April 2016, passengers traveling in first or business class, HON Circle members, Senators and frequent travelers will have five new lounges to choose from with a total area of more than 4,000 square meters. This will once again double the size of Lufthansa's lounge facilities in Munich. Now under construction on the top level, in a 1,000+ square meter space, is the new first class lounge, which offers the utmost in comfort for first-class passengers and HON Circle members. A special feature of the Senator and Business lounges on the Non-Schengen Level: a bar serving cold and hot beverages, specialty coffees and cocktails extends along the panoramic windows connecting the two lounges, which also offer buffets, separate working areas, a TV zone and comfortable showers in a total space of more than 3,000 square meters.
