With today's grand opening of ibis Styles Munich Airport, the hospitality offerings at Munich Airport are being expanded to include a modern, design-oriented hotel. The new hotel enriches Munich Airport’s existing portfolio of lodging and dining options and underscores the location’s dynamic development as a premier international hub.
Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich Airport: "The expansion of our hotel offerings creates additional capacity for business and leisure travelers, enhances the appeal of our airport, and simultaneously provides important impetus for growth and value creation in the region. Modern, experience-oriented hospitality offerings such as the ibis Styles Munich Airport underscore our commitment to further establishing Munich Airport as an innovative and future-oriented hub in the face of international competition."
The ibis Styles Munich Airport impresses with a creative design concept that combines functionality and comfort. Inspired by the landscape along the Isar River, shades of green, blue, and slate are reflected in the interior, creating a stylish, harmonious, and tranquil atmosphere. With its 358 modernly equipped rooms, cozy common areas, and dining options, the hotel caters equally for business travelers, vacationers, and airline crews. Typical of the Accor Group's ibis Styles brand is its consistent focus on comfort, uncomplicated service, and an inspiring ambiance — all at a compelling value. Thanks to its location in close proximity to the airport terminals and the LabCampus, Munich Airport’s innovation center, the hotel offers ideal conditions for short distances, flexible stays, and modern mobility needs.
"With the ibis Styles Munich Airport, we are strengthening our presence at one of Europe's most important mobility hubs," says Yannick Wagner, Deputy Chief Development Officer for Europe & North Africa and Managing Director for Germany at Accor. "The hotel exemplifies our development approach in Germany: clearly positioned brands, a high level of relevance for today’s travelers, and international, reliable standards that are deliberately linked to a strong connection with the specific destination."
With the ibis Styles Munich Airport, Allresto is further expanding its hospitality offerings on site. The airport subsidiary already operates a big part of the food and beverage facilities and has established itself as a leading airport hospitality provider with its integrated model combining food and beverage, hospitality, and event catering. Alongside the Hilton Munich Airport, the ibis Styles now specifically strengthens the hotel portfolio in the segment of high-quality yet price-conscious accommodation options.
Dr. Jan-Henrik Andersson, CCO & CSO of Munich Airport: "We are very pleased to set another milestone in our portfolio at Munich Airport with the ibis Styles Munich Airport. As a strong international partner, ibis Styles represents modern design and affordable comfort that meets the expectations of today’s travelers. In addition to our existing offerings at the airport, this allows us to strategically expand our portfolio and strengthen our market position."
