Cargo meets kids’ TV: "Checkerin Marina" at Munich Airport

Shining a spotlight on air cargo

A few days ago, Munich Airport welcomed a rather special type of crew: a film team from the well-known ARD children’s program “Checkerin Marina” visited to shoot an episode on loading a Lufthansa A350, introducing young viewers to the world of air cargo.

While the loading process itself is part of our daily routine, it’s remarkable to see these operations transformed into a story for a kids’ TV show. For us, this shoot was more than just a media visit. It reflects something we truly value: air cargo’s ability to fascinate even those who are only just discovering our world.

Teams from Cargo Development, AeroGround and Corporate Communications supported the production on site, ensuring the crew could capture authentic insights behind the scenes: from the precise choreography of loading a widebody aircraft to the logistics expertise that powers it all.

This enthusiasm is contagious. Every chance to share our passion for freight, aircraft and machinery helps increase the visibility of our industry and shows the dedication behind our work. So it was a “no-brainer” to support the whole project.

The episode will air soon on ARD’s children’s channel and will also be available on the Checker World website. And who knows — it might already inspire those who will one day shape the future of air cargo in Munich.
