The union "Vereinigung Cockpit" has announced a strike at short notice for Thursday, March 12, and Friday, March 13, 2026. Lufthansa is attempting to have as many flights as possible operated by other airlines in the Lufthansa Group and partner airlines.
The strike will also cause restrictions and flight cancellations at Munich Airport.
Passengers are therefore advised to check with their airline for the latest flight status before traveling to the airport. Passengers affected by flight cancellations or rebookings as a result of the strike will be informed by Lufthansa via email or the Lufthansa app.
