CO2 Compensation

The CO2 Compensation of our Dishes

To determine the carbon footprint of our dishes, we use the eaternity app and its comprehensive database. However, it's not just the type of food that matters but also the emissions along the entire value chain, such as farming methods, transportation, storage, and much more.

We want to give you the opportunity to offset your carbon footprint through a compensation fee, which will be directly donated to the project Climate Forest MUC

How Does the Compensation Work Exactly?

Based on over 76,000 recipes in Switzerland, it has been calculated that a dish causes an average of 1,258 g of CO2 emissions. However, only recipes with a CO2 value below 629 g are considered climate-friendly.

We have now set up a donation account in our online shop, allowing the CO2 value of the dishes to be offset.

Climate Forest MUC

As a local company, we are very committed to the region. That is why it is particularly important for us to make our contribution where it is tangibly implemented. The forest ecosystem in particular is crucial for the climate. Trees filter the air, sequester carbon, making them the perfect carbon sinks.

To help reduce greenhouse gases and move closer to our goal of becoming climate-neutral, planting trees is one of the most effective and natural solutions.

The CO₂ tons we refer to are specifically linked to the KlimaWald MUC project of Flughafen München GmbH. For our initiative, we have been allocated a quota of CO₂ tons within this project.
