Soon it Will be Time to Join the Soccer Excitement

For all travelers wishing to enjoy the World Cup in style, Munich Airport is gearing up to make it possible. If you’re in the mood to experience some soccer fever before taking off, after landing or during a layover, head for the Airport Arena! This roofed-over area in the Munich Airport Center boasts seating for about 2,000 fans. To make sure that everyone has a good view, the matches will be shown live on a huge 40-square-meter screen. Appropriate food and drink will also be available to enhance the stadium feeling.

And that isn’t all! Flights will be frequently taking off from Munich to Russia so fans can easily reach the matches via the Bavarian capital and cheer on their teams in the stadiums there.

You too can take advantage of our five-star airport to enjoy this international event in public screenings with other fans from around the world.

In case you’re more interested in outer space and technology, guess what! The famous German Museum has just opened a branch in Munich Airport’s satellite terminal. There you can marvel at historic wooden propellers or an airplane engine built by BMW, or take a seat at the control console of the Apollo 17 mission’s “Lunar Rover” to roam the lunar surface.

Best of all, the exhibit is open year-round. So stop by and get a bit closer to making your dream of flying come true!
