In May 2019, MAI acquired its longtime partner amd.sigma strategic airport development GmbH (amd.sigma). The firm based in Berlin employs architects, real estate experts, business planner, city planner and aviation managers all specialized in airports. With over 24 years of experience in all aspects of airport planning and design, amd.sigma has earned an outstanding reputation in the market. This is further enhanced by great expertise in the area of cost estimates, airport business planning and commercial airport planning for the development of airports and airport cities.

Munich Airport NJ LLC
Munich Airport NJ LLC, a 100% subsidiary of Munich Airport US Holding LLC, is responsible for maintenance and concession management services at EWR Terminal A and prepares for the operations of the new Terminal A at EWR, a modern, state-of-the art terminal that will replace the existing Terminal A from spring 2022 onwards. The Terminal has a design capacity of approx. 14 million annual passengers and 33 common-use gates, providing generous space for a smooth journey through the building, from curbside to gate and vice versa.
