1. Provider, contact details
1.1. At parken.munich-airport.de, you can easily book your parking at Munich Airport and additional services online in advance. Unless otherwise stated, the provider and contractual partner is Flughafen München GmbH, legally represented by the managing directors Jost Lammers, Thomas Hoff Andersson and Jan-Henrik Andersson, Nordallee 25, 85326 Munich Airport (hereinafter also referred to as “we”).
1.2. If you have any questions or encounter any problems regarding your booking or parking, you can contact our Parking Customer Service Centre on +49 89 975 222, at kontakt.parken@munich-airport.de, in person at the Parking Control Centre in the Munich Airport Centre, or via the intercoms at the parking ticket machines and at the entry/exit barriers.
2. Booking process
2.1. Under "Select travel dates", enter your arrival and departure dates.
2.2. Under "Parking selection", we show you the parking areas – multi-storey car parks or outdoor car parks – where you can book parking online for the selected period, along with the prices and any additional offers. Select your parking area here. The service descriptions and prices stated at the time of booking apply. The prices quoted include statutory VAT.
2.3. Under “Your details”, enter your personal details. Here you can also create a personal customer account (“Register”) or, if you already have a customer account, log in. If you have selected a parking area equipped with our number plate recognition system, a field labelled ‘Vehicle details – Number plate’ will appear – here you can enter the number plate of the vehicle you expect to use for parking. The number plate will then be stored to allow for more convenient entry and exit without the need for a QR code.
The “Book and pay” button will then take you to the website of our payment service provider, VR Payment. Here, select one of the payment methods on offer and enter the required details.
2.4. Under "Confirmation", once the payment has been successfully processed, we will confirm the completion of your car park booking on the website with a booking number and send a booking confirmation to the email address you provided, containing the key details of your booking and a QR code. It is only at this point that we accept your offer to enter into a parking contract, and a parking contract is deemed to have been concluded. If you cannot find the booking confirmation in your email client, including in your spam folder, please contact our Parking Customer Service Centre (+49 89 975 222, kontakt.parken@munich-airport.de).
2.5. Please keep the booking confirmation with the QR code and carry it with you either electronically on your device or as a printed copy. You can also save the QR code in your Apple or Google Wallet app.
3. Cancellation or amendment of your booking; no statutory right of withdrawal
3.1. If you have made a booking directly on our portal parken.munich-airport.de, you can easily cancel the booking online right up until the time of arrival. If you have made a booking on another portal, you must cancel it directly on that other portal in accordance with the terms and conditions specified there. This does not apply if the product’s price description expressly states that it is non-cancellable. In such cases, a refund or cancellation is not possible. If you cancel your booking made on our portal parken.munich-airport.de up until the booked entry time, this is free of charge. We will refund the parking fee to the specified credit card account or the PayPal address used. No refund will be given after the booked entry time. We will confirm the cancellation to your email address.
3.2. You can amend a confirmed booking up to 1 hour before your booked entry time – for example, to a different parking area or a different parking duration – provided the booking was made directly on our website parken.munich-airport.de. Bookings made through other providers cannot be rebooked via Munich Airport’s Customer Service Centre. At parken.munich-airport.de, you can change your parking booking under ‘Manage bookings’. Once the rebooking has been successfully completed, you will receive a new booking confirmation by email. There is no guarantee that the new booking will be available at the same rate; depending on availability, it may only be possible to book at a higher rate. Once the booked entry time has passed, rebooking is no longer possible, regardless of whether the parking process has begun or whether entry did not take place (failure to use the booking). In such cases, the cancellation conditions set out in 3.1 apply.
3.3. The statutory right of withdrawal for consumers is excluded, as your car park booking relates to a specific period (Section 312g(2)(9) of the German Civil Code (BGB)).
4. Parking procedure
4.1. If you provided your vehicle registration number when booking your parking space, please drive up to the entrance barrier for the booked parking area at Munich Airport. If the registration number is very dirty, particularly due to slush, please clean it beforehand. The number plate recognition system will recognise your number plate and your booking and open the barrier automatically.
4.2 If you did not enter your number plate when making your booking, or if you are arriving in a different vehicle, please hold the QR code from your booking confirmation up to the QR code scanner at the barrier. If the barrier does not open, or if you encounter any other problems, please call the car park control centre via the intercom and quote your booking number. For pre-booked parking, our entry barriers no longer issue parking tickets.
4.3. To leave the car park within the booked parking period, drive up to the exit barrier so that your number plate can be recognised, or hold the QR code up to the QR code reader on the exit column.
4.4. Your booking is valid for a single parking session only, not for repeated parking during the booked period. You are not entitled to a specific parking space within the booked parking area.
5. Deviations in the actual parking period from the booked period
5.1. If you arrive later than the booked entry time, your booking will not be cancelled. However, the booked and paid-for parking period will not be extended accordingly. No refund will be given for the unused portion of the parking period.
5.2. If you exceed the booked parking period significantly, please first scan your QR code at a parking pay machine. The pay-on-exit machine will, if applicable, calculate the additional charge for the parking time not paid for in advance. It is not possible to extend the parking duration booked online at any time. The additional charge will be calculated according to the "Overtime Parking" tariff table. In this case, the parking charge may be several times higher than the price for a correspondingly longer online booking period. If, at the time of your online booking, you are not yet sure when you will return, we recommend booking a correspondingly longer parking period online in advance. Once payment has been completed, you can exit using number plate recognition or your QR code.
6. Use of buses and S-Bahn trains
With your booking confirmation – whether in electronic form or as a printed copy – you and your fellow travellers can use the bus and S-Bahn services operated by the Munich Transport and Tariff Association (MVV) free of charge for your journey from the car park on the airport grounds to the terminals and back.
7. Terms of use of the website, copyright
7.1. We wish our website, parken.munich-airport.de, to be used exclusively by our passengers or other end customers to view our parking offers online and, where applicable, to book a parking session at the price we offer. We hereby expressly object to any other use of our website and/or the data and/or booking options provided there. In particular, third-party providers are not permitted to access our parking offers or book parking sessions for the purpose of reselling or brokering them to end customers for a fee, or procuring them for an end customer in return for payment. The booking confirmation and/or invoice issued by us for a parking session must not be altered, suppressed or copied in whole or in part for the purpose of resale for a fee. We reserve the right to treat any booking confirmations that differ from our original booking confirmation as invalid.
7.2. The content and design of our website, including text, images, graphics, audio and video files, are protected by copyright and trade mark law. Any use not permitted by law requires our written consent.
8. Final Provisions
8.1. The personal data you provide will be collected, stored and processed by us, our system provider AeroParker (KMP Associates Limited) and the relevant payment service providers solely for the purpose of processing your booking and the parking and payment transaction. In addition, we use the data relating to your booking and parking transaction exclusively in anonymised form for statistical analysis. If you register with us, we will collect, store and process the personal data you have provided in your customer account for any further purposes to which you have given your consent. You may delete your customer account or withdraw individual consents at any time. For further details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
8.2. In addition to these Special Terms and Conditions, our General Terms and Conditions for parking at Munich Airport apply. Any terms and conditions on your part shall not apply, even if we are aware of them and do not expressly object to them.
8.3. The parking contract is governed by German law, to the exclusion of provisions of private international law, the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods or any other international provisions. The place of performance for the mutual obligations arising from the parking contract is the Munich Airport site. The place of jurisdiction for both parties is determined exclusively by this place of performance.
8.4. Our Terms and Conditions apply in the German-language version. Versions in other languages are to be regarded solely as translations.
8.5. Should any part of our Terms and Conditions be invalid, this shall not render the remainder of the contractual relationship invalid.
