Approximately 50 distinctive restaurants and bars at Munich Airport offer a variety of food and drinks that range from quick and inexpensive to gourmet establishments where the excellent food and lovely décor make one want to linger. The choice of restaurants at Munich Airport is as international as its passengers. Fine Italian restaurants, deluxe Asian cuisine, fast food and traditional Bavarian cuisine – the choices are many.

The Surf & Turf is a creative dining concept with a menu based on the winning combination of "simple, honest and healthy food". The trendy décor is themed on summer, sun, beach holidays and surfing – a delight for steak and seafood fans.

Maredo is the unchallenged number one among steakhouses and has its own Maredo Grill & Café Lounge in Terminal 2 at Munich Airport. Located in a public sector, it is airy and presents an overlook of the expansive check-in area below. Alongside classics such as steaks from South America and an exceptional salad bar, Maredo's menu is ideally complemented by a wide selection of snacks in a café lounge setting.

Il Mondo, a first class Italian restaurant located in Terminal 1, presents guests with huge, up-close views of aircraft as well as mouth-watering choices such as Osso Bucco and Fettuccine Alfredo. It is a popular venue for small events and private dinner parties for up to 80 guests.
Additional Italian culinary specialties including pasta, pizza from the stone oven, and delicious Italian desserts can be found in the Bagutta, located in Terminal 2. The Bruschetteria in Terminal 1, a lounge designed in an Italian style of the fifties, offers sweet or savory bruschetta and coffee specialties.

From regional to international food

From white sausages to Thai duck or artisan pizza, 4URBS offers dishes from all over the world. Inspired by the metropolises of Milan, Bangkok, New York and Munich, the newly opened restaurant offers the latest culinary trend, "street food." Selmans Restaurant & Bar invites passengers to enjoy culinary delights in a grand setting. The design of the restaurant mixes dark, rich colors with luxurious materials and modern, color-intensive fabrics. Selmans' menu offers light and fresh dishes ranging from gourmet breakfasts to sophisti-cated international cuisine as well as a wide selection of refined drinks.

Authentic teak floors and distinctive Asian artistry welcome one to a very special enclave within the bustling check-in hall. The Mangostin Restaurant, located in the public area of Terminal 2, is among one of the airport's most sought-after Asian restaurants. It offers Thai and sushi dishes. Another acclaimed Asian restaurant appears in both terminals: Bamee offers fresh sushi prepared by a master chef as well authentic Thai dishes, prepared in an open kitchen.

Passengers seeking a great cup of coffee need look no further than Dallmayr. Dallmayr is a traditional, Old World German specialty-foods emporium. Dallmayr is the oldest delicacy house in Munich and famous for its outstanding coffee varieties. Other choices for a perfect cup of coffee include the San Francisco Coffee Company, and Pano.

Another Old World specialty shop and restaurant is Käfer, located in Terminal 1, also with an open kitchen that invites guests to watch the chefs. Käfer offers a full range of international, Bavarian and Italian dishes. A second Käfer restaurant is situated in Terminal 2. The Käfer brand is known worldwide for its premium products and high quality.

Top-quality fish restaurants such as Seafood Sylt offer fresh snacks from the sea and can be found in both terminals as well as in the central area.

Bistro Organic provides a "mini retreat" from the hustle and bustle of the airport with large aquarium-like displays and a calming décor featuring earthy greens, browns and terra cotta tones. Here passengers can treat themselves to wellness drinks and healthy snacks. Everything is made from 100% of organic ingredients from the Prosecco to lassi drinks, cakes and coffee. Fruits and salad here also offer a healthy dining option. Vegetarian food is available in all airport restaurants.

The world's first and only airport brewery, Airbräu combines the art of brewing with Bavarian "Gemütlichkeit" – coziness – and offers regional specialties along with a changing menu of the week. The restaurant is located between both terminals in the Munich Airport Center with its own beer garden set under real chestnut trees. The ambience invites passengers to pause and enjoy the welcoming Bavarian atmosphere.

Next to Heaven is the little sister of the Airbräu. It presents an inspiring mix of great ingredients, skilled chefs and attention to detail. It can be found in Terminal 2, Level 05.
