A winter wonderland

At Munich Airport you can already feel the Christmas spirit in the middle of November. Under the roof of the Munich Airport Center, more than 45 market stands invite travelers to feast and chill, selling Bavarian specialties and handicrafts. The tempting aromas of mulled wine, sweet roasted almonds, sausages and gingerbread create an unforgettable atmosphere.

450 real Christmas trees and a 15-meter-high giant Christmas tree surround the stands creating a winter wonderland. The main attraction at the Christmas market is the huge ice skating rink in the middle of the jolly festivities. One can rent skates by providing a small deposit. Right next to the ice skaters, ice sport enthusiasts who enjoy the art of curling can show off their talent on their own ice rink. This "cool" Christmas fun is free of charge.

The Christmas market will rock with daily performances by more than 20 bands or solo entertainers. The music can feature rock, pop, swing, jazz, funk, soul and even salsa and blues.
In addition to the musical performances, Munich Airport's Winter Market offers many activities and events. The Christmas market at the Munich Airport is open daily from 11 o'clock until 9 o'clock.

No matter how much time you have to spend either between flights or after your arrival, the Winter and Christmas Market is the perfect place to enjoy yourself at Munich Airport.
