When more than 2,500 participants revive the late Middle Ages in Landshut, the "Landshut Wedding 1475" is celebrated.
The historical spectacle recreates the festivities surrounding the marriage of the young Duke George of Bavaria-Landshut and the Polish Princess Hedwig. The most lavish celebration of the late Middle Ages was an occasion of European dimensions. Since 1903, countless people from all over the world have been captivated by the authentic spectacle. From June 30 to July 23, 2023, Landshut's largest and most elaborate historical costume festival will take place for the 42nd time.
