Proof of vaccination and convalescence can replace a negative test and exempt from the entry quarantine. This does not currently apply in the case of prior stay in a virus variant area.
Persons are considered to have recovered if they have been infected with Covid 19 for at least 28 days and a maximum of six months and have proof of recovery in German, English, French, Italian or Spanish. Persons are considered vaccinated if they are in possession of a vaccination certificate issued in their name. A vaccination certificate is obtained if the recommended number of vaccine doses required for a complete protective vaccination has been administered and at least 14 days have elapsed since the last required individual vaccination, or the vaccination protection in a recovered person consists of one administered vaccine dose.
Please refer to the Corona Virus Entry Regulation (CoronaEinreiseV) for the currently applicable regulations and exceptions: Federal Coronavirus Entry Ordinance.
