This segment includes all aircraft with a take-off weight of more than two tons flying under instrument flight rules that are not operating as scheduled or charter traffic.

Separate terminal
Zugang zur Wartehalle der Allgemeinen Luftfahrt
Aircraft in the general aviation segment have a dedicated terminal where other key tasks for the airport are also performed.

The General Aviation Terminal is about 2 kilometers to the north-east of the new Terminal 2 on the Staatsstrasse 2584 road to Erding. The terminal is centered around the glass-roofed arrival and departure hall for passengers and pilots.

The General Aviation hangar has a total area of 10,800 square meters (270 meters long by 40 meters deep) and offers every possible form of aviation maintenance.

The helicopter landing pad has six park positions.
